Our commitment to sustainability
- Ethically sourced lambskin – We only work with suppliers who treat animals humanely. The hides used in our jackets are by-products of the food industry, ensuring that no animals are raised solely for their skins. We regularly audit our supply chain and require our partners to adhere to industry standards for animal welfare and environmental responsibility.
- Responsible tanning & finishing – The tanning process can have a significant environmental impact. Our tanneries follow stringent standards for water and energy use and employ vegetable-tanning or low-impact alternatives whenever possible. Wastewater is treated before release, and tanning chemicals are carefully managed to reduce pollution.
- Fair labor practices – Every Decrum jacket is crafted by skilled artisans who receive fair wages and work in safe conditions. We build long-term relationships with our workshops to ensure that workers are respected and empowered. By eliminating middlemen and selling direct to you, we can pay our craftsmen fairly without inflating prices.
Eco-friendly packaging & shipping
Sustainability doesn’t end when your jacket leaves our workshop. We use eco-friendly packaging—made from recycled, biodegradable materials—to protect your purchase. Our boxes are right-sized to minimise waste and shipping emissions. We also offer free shipping over US$99 and easy returns, but we encourage customers to choose wisely using our size guide to reduce unnecessary shipments.
